since the global COVID-19 pandemic emerged, Zoom Video Communications has gained enormous popularity & market share as a tool to facilitate meetings, conferences, presentations, & other gatherings across long distances. along with its rapid expansion, Zoom has also taken major, public steps to ingratiate itself with the u.s. police state & its global servants.

in June 2020 — the middle of a massive anti-police uprising in the united states — Zoom publicly clarified that it would not enable encryption for free users in order to make it easier for anti-Black fascists to spy on those communications. in November 2020, Zoom followed this up by adding janet napolitano, the former #1 cop for the state of arizona & head of the notoriously evil u.s. department of “homeland security”, to its board of directors.

this remarkable degree of open collaboration with fascism has achieved results: according to Zoom’s most recent transparency reports, the company fulfilled over 85% of requests from u.s. cops & about half of requests from all other cops.

yet despite all this, people who claim to be against the police have continued to freely use Zoom, when there are numerous feee alternatives. why?
