speculative fiction in klanada: SFF authors & “progressive” imperialism

Here, we briefly present 21 authors, born &/or based in the euro-colonial colony of kanada, who have publicly supported that country's progressive political parties, along with their imperialist policies both “at home” & worldwide.

Much like the previous list for supporters of the u.s. democrats, we expect that the intended audience of this post — fans of literature under the broad speculative fiction umbrella who identify with anti-oppressive politics — won’t gain much they don’t already know from evidence that kanada’s Conservative Party (known as the Tories) support oppression around the world. That’s why we’ve chosen to focus here on contributions to parties of the “center-left” — to expand the political horizons at play.
